Well honestly as a pro-globalisation person I think China is showing the rest of the world exactly what to do. Do I think American's should stop buying foreign made products to promote American ones instead? No. Canada for example exports almost everything we make all of our natural resources etc...etc... then we import all the products we need. It works well with global trade.

But if American's only bought American products, Canadian's only bought Canadian products , China only bought Chinese products. Well the world economies would collapse. Countries where manufacturing is their economy like China would go belly up and countries reliant on natural resources like Canada would have nobody to cheaply manufacture products out of them. Then the US which imports and exports almost as much. Would be paralized without the natural resources from Canada and cheap food from Mexico, Canada and South America. Fact is we should be buying multinational products to support the global economy and help the countries we are buying from.
