I don't recommend Oblivion. I really like RPGs and I'm totally into the D&D vibe, but I thought Oblivion was suckful. Though I only gave it so many hours, who knows maybe it got better later on, but a game's gotta get me having fun pretty early on otherwise I quickly move on the better things. I think all the best RPGs have been mentioned.
I'd love to see another Dark Alliance, Baldur's Gate game come out for consoles. They were fun and I liked the bird's eye camera position (one of the many beefs I had withg Oblivion, don't like FPS RPGs and don't much like over the shoulder either).
