Games that will be remembered like tetris and pac-man, I guess maybe farmville, world of warcraft, possibly the sims. The sims will probably appear in facebook or other social networks at some point.
The Wii will be remembered for finally getting motion controls of the ground.
We all know doom and half-life but how many non-gamers have heard of them?
Games like half-life, uncharted, halo, gears of war are all evolutionary, there will have been bigger and better versions to remember in the meantime. Unless we just keep on numbering to Gears of war 12, Call of duty 26, half-life 3 if we're lucky :)
Personally I think shooting things in games will become less and less important as ways to interact with the virtual world increase. Still waiting on adventure games / rpgs where you can actually have a conversation with the characters, 20 more years might do it. (Although people said the same thing 20 years ago)
At least this generation (and the next) will be remembered as the shooter era.
