Wii Sports and nothing else. Only ridiculously old-fashioned losers will remember stuff like CoD, Halo, GT, Wii Fit, etc. Wii Sports, on the other hand, will be the Super Mario Bros of tomorrow. The gamers of tomorrow will look back at it fondly whilst complaining that Nintendo have strayed from their ways and are neglecting their true audience.

hahahaha  u do realise that CoD, halo and GT are more lily to be remember that wii sports XD. In 20 years time people will prob still be playing them XD. Sales arnt everything but when a game sells 10 million easy people remember it XD Wii sports is just that game that come with wii, u play it, u go get a proper game XD

You're not serious, are you?

Firstly, sales matter. If no one (or very few people, in comparison) played the game, no one (again, very few people) will remember it. Also, why the heck won't people be playing Wii Sports when they're playing CoD and GT? Trust me, only "core" gamers give up on a game as fun as Wii Sports after a few weeks. 20 years later, every time somebody new comes home, my Wii will still be intact, waiting for a game of baseball, :P. Besides, like it or not, CoD, Halo and GT are more of the same. There have been popular shooters and racers forever; even new IPs in this genre will probably be forgotten. Wii Sports is drastically new. If any games follow it in later gens, it'll be looked upon as a trendsetter. If they don't, it'll pretty much be regarded as one of a kind.

Saying only Wii Sports will be remembered from this gen is fairly narrow minded. Think back to 1990, is Super Mario Bros the only franchise remembered? Hardly.

More of the same means nothing if a series still breaks records and pushes the medium. CoD, Halo, & GT have all done that this gen.

CoD: Black Ops is the fastest selling game in history (taking the previous record from Modern Warfare 2).

Halo 3 had the largest launch in entertainment history while setting the bar for online mutliplayer higher than any game before it. It'll keep being played long after the 360's successor has launched.

Gran Turismo 5 had pre-market perception and hype like few games had in the past. It'll be the highest and fastest selling racing title this gen (save Mario Kart) .Couple in it's unprecedented amount of content and it's easy to see how it will be remembered for years to come.

Now I agree that Wii Sports will be remembered for generations and generations, because it ushered in a brand new way to play. But it didn't exist in the gen alone as a show stopper, so it won't be the only show stopper remembered years from now.

Yeah, I know, it's going a bit too far, but I really think so. The OP said that which games would be like Pac-Man, Pong and SMB. That kind of recognition won't be received by other titles from this generation I'm guessing.

I admit that it was a bit trollish of me to say that everything else doesn't matter though, :P.
