Define "remembered"...

Games that people still talk about or play.

Also consider I'm not talking about games that are considered good or influential today.

So, again, define "pepole", truly hardcore gamers? The mainstream media? Somewhere in between?

Games who are influential will most probably be "remembered" among game fans, like SMB, LoZ from the NES days, and MGS, FF7, OoT, HL from the 32 bit gen.

But really, how many influential games are out there today? Wii Fit? No, it just sold a lot, and if the "genre" won't evlove in the next 20 years it will be forgotten.
Same for Wii Sports, unless motion sports really catches on for the next 20 years, the fact that it sold a lot doesn't mean it will be remembered.

Halo will probably be remembered for making online gaming really popular on consoles, and making console FPSs what they are today.
Maybe CoD will be remembered.

If by remembered you talk about games like Chrono Trigger, as in, games who didn't have a bit of influence but just really resonated with pepole...

I can see MGS4 having that one, maybe Uncharted 2 (and probably 3, especially if it outsells and is better than UC2), ME2, SMG (probably 2) and... dunno.

You're annoying. And also pretty evil for making such a bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo.

What's annoying? Saying "games that will be remembered" mean nothing, since you need to need to define the context in which they will be remembered, and I also gave a pretty detailed answer (at least I think it's detailed)

And yeah, i'm pretty evil, dark side all the way *random gif that Darth would use*

Although that guy offered that bet in the first place, how could I say no?

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.
