I think Shenmue 3 would be a huge flop. It would be third chapter in a series that never sold well at a time where single player adventures are a hard sell and people are growing less impressed by sandbox games. I enjoyed the first, played the second one too late (2007) to be impressed, and I'm a bit skeptical about a third. Shenmue probably serves us best as a series that we remember as being awesome--but remains in hibernation.
