i went to S. Korea about a year back and the one thing that struck me was several of the people I met went out of their way not only to bring up US involvment in S. Korea but also to thank me. i was all like, wtf?!? i am too young to remember the Korean war but the S. Korea's are very happy with the US involvment that took place.
So no, I don't think the US should leave as they are probably one of the only places that actually wants us there. but if Korea unified, hopefully the need for US troops would disapear and slowly over time we could reduce our presence there.
