To some extent that's already the case.

To be honest, though, it would be nice to have better integration of some WL features into XBL.  The WP7 team seemed to really jump on that, in particular the embracing of the cloud.  Could XBL take advantage of cloud features too ... ?

Bah!  Useless to speculate.  Just going to get on with the craziness that is my life and be surprised, pleasantly or less than.
