In the Arcades of the late 70's early 80's
I almost feel sorry for anyone under 30 knowing that will never experience the halcyon days of video games.
The smell of Gaming boards being run 18 hours a day under a hot sun.
People peering over shoulders to see the local champ set a high score.
Desperately trying to get the change machine to accept a crumpled note.
The sounds, The games and above all an 8 year old boy who fell in love with Williams Electronics Defender even if he had to stand on a stool to play.....
It will never come to pass again, but I lived it.
