Oh, America is about democracy and freedom now? Tell that to Afghanistan or Irak.

American forces are liberating Iraq and Afghanistan by fighting wars for freedom and liberty. That is what Fox News tells us in regular updates. Fox News = fair and balanced.

Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein has been released and now the Iraqi people have freedom and democracy. Taliban have been kicked out of Afghanistan by American troops and an american picked democratic government is leading the Afghanistani people,

Both Afghanistan and Iraq have freedom, liberty and democracy. Dictatorship and oppressive governments have been removed by good Christian American troops.

OMG I cannot seriously believe that you're THAT naive, or believe anything the media/government tells you. So the good Americans, without any interest of their own, invested billions upon billions on these operations to free another country?

Sorry, this is Crusaders all over again. They just need a reason, a cause to make war, to deplete their weapons (so that they can purchase new ones in the future), to control the area, to get access to oil, killing (not necessarily innocent) people. All with the blessings of their own people...

I'm sorry but comparing today’s conflicts with the Crusades is childish and naive, it's also clear that numonex is trolling the hell out of you.

To a westerner it seems very much a paradox looking on at Islam, on one hand Islamic apologists will say that terror is not Islam and that Islam is peace, while Islamic "fundamentalists" will say that Islam is a constant Jihad and that they must slay the infidels where they find them, man woman and child will get arms to kill.

Here's a quick jotting on Osama Bin Laden and how much propaganda and psychological warfare was spewed by the man to the American public or the western world, what I will give a brief explanation about is why Westerners should simple either get more perceptive or leave the opinions to the ones who know.

Osama Bin Laden when addressing the world on the 9/11 attack turned and said that this was revenge reparations for what the west (America) had done to his home and his world and the world of his people. He made sure to say to the west that you are the bad guys in this and posed the MOST repeated rhetoric in all Muslim arguments geared at the west, "you shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house." Osama was a academic he knows what people who don't know think like, they will pull the most available knowledge and refer without being complete. Now we have relationships being drawn to a war that ended centuries ago and legitimately could not be recontinued thanks to the World Wars.

The point here is the second part of Osama's message but to Muslims, when he addressed Muslims he said that this is our holy duty, that this is the duty of all Muslims to engage Jihad and strike the infidels down, wherever you find them. There are tools of Jihad such as courage, honor and deceit and so on but I won't go into that I don't have the time. If you’re not seeing the picture look at it like this, the only one fighting an age old war is Osama and every Muslim that is committed to Jihad. There is a Muslim word for deceit that is ratified in the Qur’an that defines itself most closely to deceit but as is the case with almost all Arabic words it's only closely related but is not exactly deceit.

The word for those formal in Arabic is Taqiyya - This is defined by action, when Muslims are faced with infidels or non-believers who hold more power than them they may fake being a non-believers. Things that would be Muslims such as reading the Qur’an seven times a day are no longer practiced the person would appear to be a non-believer. Even the CIA has recognized this and wrote lamentations on the practice and recognized it's origins.  The historic examples of this where between Shi'a and Sunni when the Shi'a were over powered they presented arguments and treaties in times where the Sunni's were far more fierce in number and power when they believed that a time had arose for opportunity the Shi'a would break their treaties and attack. I might be screwing up time lines on how Taqiyya was practiced in fact I am but this is pretty much the gist of it, there are many more forms of deceit ratified by the prophet Mohammed. (See versus 3:28) Most Muslim scholars use that verse to justify Taqiyya.

-- Edit

I was in such a rush I forgot to hit the nail on the head. I'll just leave a question

Why did Bin Laden say that this is a holy war to his muslim followers but then said to the west that the west forced them to react?

This is jihad -

He used the crusades to describe numonex and his attitude/beliefs, comparing them to a crusader, while also saying its just an excuse for the people who gain from war. You're reading way too much into it. Anyway we're mostly taking about china, this is a whole other tangent. Interesting stuff though. And yes numonex is trolling everyone, especially with the fox comment lol.
