All the EA sports games remain at the full $60 price for almost a year, it's usually your 2K sports games, Pro Evolution Soccer that drop in price pretty quickly. The last basketball game I bought was NBA Live 2005, I played it for almost 2 years until my gamecube died. I just don't like next gen basketball games.
