China is a semi-democratic communist state ...

In what way is China semi-democratic?

I also disagree that China's regime is communist.

Your girlfriend couldn't vote in America 100 years ago, and black people couldn't vote 150 year ago, yet America was still 'democratic' in the sense that a group of people elected government officials.  In China, 100 million members of the Communist Party vote.  Just like America's past restrictions on women and minority voting, it isn't as democratic but there is still a democratic mechanism at work.

China is a mixed economy where publically owned and privately owned businesses compete in the market.  China refers to it as Socialism with Chinese characteristics.  Its not communism as defined by Marx in 1840, but the definition of democracy, captialism, and many other political ideologies have changed a lot in their definition too.
