Think of it this way, lets say they manufacture every colour of the rainbow and on top of that, they make, white, silver, black, brown, pink. The problem is, they don't know how many of each colour people will want. I don't think Brown and Purple will sell well, but whenever a certain colour becomes out of stock, people will just wait for the colour they want. Its much easier to have just one colour.
