but FF13 isn't that bad.. it's just uninspired. it's a good game, butit lacks vision and direction. i don't feel that the story is epic. i don't hate the bad guy. i don't care about the characters. i don't feel a sense of urgency about saving the world. i don't have any connection with the fantasy that the game tries to present.
in other words i just lost connection with it from the very beginning. there are some weird facets of the story that i never understood. there aren't any towns or sidequests that delve into the story further so that i could immerse myself into the world more. yknow, talking to a random stranger who speaks about the state of the world at that moment is enough to put me in urgency mode. i can't do that in FF13.
but it's still a good game. the combat is fluid and the graphics are very good. i love how the fighting doesn't rely on MP or any weird limiting system. the fast pace of battles is a welcome change and i hope future final fantasies are done this way.
shame that it just wasn't immersive and i just couldn't find it in myself to care about anything in the game.
anyway.. it's not an FF13 thread so... sorry about that :P
