But I still think it's random, because the range of colors is spread so wide despite most of the games coming with German only instruction booklets and that essentially only leaves three countries they were supposed to be released in. Same goes for DS and Gamecube games. Unless you show me proof, I find it hard to believe you.

There is a system, but we're just not supposed to know it - have a look at the end of the title code above the barcodes for superconfusion. Your games with a blue triangle most likely have title codes ending with NOE. All of my UK Wii games have pine green triangles, and the title code ends with UKV.
