I always thought those colors are random. I have like ten different colors on my boxes, but the two games I know that are from the UK have a yellow triangle.

But I still think it's random, because the range of colors is spread so wide despite most of the games coming with German only instruction booklets and that essentially only leaves three countries they were supposed to be released in. Same goes for DS and Gamecube games. Unless you show me proof, I find it hard to believe you.

I remember it featuring in the 'Ask Nintendo' feature that Official Nintendo Magazine used to run.  Green is U.K, Red is France.  I'll go search the web for some proof.
