Eye of Judgement looked really good as well, but the field seems way too small in comparison to the few other strategy card games I've played. I'll probably pick it up if I ever find it for a low price.


I imagine the game isn't expensive, especially if you already have a PSEye, but it looks like the booster packs are expensive, starting at $9.99 a pack and going up to about $16.50.  Both of those prices are pretty insanely high for a booster pack, boosters should be about $3-5 a pack depending on the game.  You would be paying at a minimum double for a high end booster pack which I doubt Eye of Judgment is.

You might be able to do better if you bought singles but even that would get expensive.

If you already have the standard deck that comes with the game, do you have to keep buying new cards? Could I actually complete a campaign with that deck?

You can play with the cards you're given...but you're not given much of a variety and you're not likely to get actual good cards. Like any starter deck for any CCG, it's not that good.  It will get you through the first few games but if you want to get anywhere or actually compete against the AI or people, you have to supplement it with something.

The thing about any CCG or card game, they're about obtaining and using cards.  With Eye of Judgment and Magic Online, you have to actually buy more cards.  With Magic Online you can at least get cards and boosters cheap and even win prizes but Eye of Judgment cards are going to cost you money and you don't really get anything back.

Of all the things I listed at least, I would say Eye of Judgment is the worst choice.  The game isn't that good (the mechanics are so-so and you get to a point where the person that goes first wins), it's going to cost you money to build up your deck, and I have no idea if people even still play it online.
