Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. It led to the mass production of pre-teen fantasy book adaptations that began in 2001 and is still ongoing. Darren Shan, Eragon, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, The Dark is Rising, The Golden Compass, Inkheart, Percy Jackson & The Olympians, Stormbreaker, Jumper and Twilight are just a few examples of movies that looked to The Philosophers Stone as an example of how to suck money out of your loving fan-base.
I can only hope that some producer goes through some movie idea drought and decides to make an adaptation of Deltora Quest. That shit needs to be put onto the big screen.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
