If I stop in the middle of the racing line, they will just smash into me without restraint. They also like to ram into you from the back right after you overtake them, causing you to spin out. As a GTG, it's very disappointing. I thought that by now, they would've improved the A.I. such that they would behave at least a little rationally. As a G, well, every racing game has clunky A.I. that doesn't notice where the player is. It's normal.

i know this is false from my experience. I did a few test stop in the middle of the lane and saw the AI go around me. If I park my car too close to the corner they will often hit me . Also the AI does make mistake which means not only do they hit my car but my driver car in B-spec as well. Most gamers want the AI to never ever touch them yet is that racing? It seems to me the AI does actually tries to race you instead of just objects on the track. Sure it not perfect but to me it seem pretty descent.
Notice I'm referring to A spec and B -spec. In license and TGTT the AI is scripted.
