My theory is, at lvl 10-20 you unlock sparks which are available on almost every video on youtube that I have seen. I even saw it on GAMEX when I played it.
For instance look at this video at 1:22 -> 1:50
So basically, the sparks speed up the process of damage making it a lot cruical to not crash during A-Spec gameplay on extreme and so forth.
The damage is there as I have shown in my previous videos, but it takes A LOT of time to get it. Im only A-Spec lvl 6. I think my theory's about right.
If you are a low A-Spec level, try to get those sparks, very rarely you get a LITTLE bit that you barely notice, but you can clearly tell that it will become available later on.
