I think you're looking for something that doesn't exist. You can't have even desktop midrange performance in a laptop unless it's heavy and has sub-30min battery life. If you're willing to settle for 'OK' performance then the M11x and similar are OK. If you're willing to sacrifice portability then you can get great performance.
Have you considered buying (probably for the same total cost) an ultraportable laptop and a midrange gaming desktop?
Also, what games/settings/resolution do you ideally want to play?
