Screen Tearing is very common, reguardless of the amount of cars or the track. Slowdown is very common in races with more than 8 cars in a race, with 3 cars on the screen at once. Some cars look great, some look poor in comparison. Here are some pics from my races.

Damage seems to take way too long to show up, as you can see. The rain effects make all the cars look really bad.
