I honestly doubt that is going to matter considering the rave reviews this is getting. And how good the album in general is. I honestly have no doubt that it is going to win the Grammy for Album Of The Year.

His first album got raves also, yet he lost the Album of the Year Grammy to a dead guy's duet album. He didn't even win Best New Artist that year (he lost to Maroon 5). Likeability within a particular industry matters a lot for these awards shows that are not voted by the public (why do you think Sandra Bullock won an Oscar for a performance that any actress could've done right in a terrible movie?)

The guy's an a-hole (think what he did to Taylor Swift at the VMAs last year) and the music industry and the Grammys hate him. It doesn't matter how good the reviews for his album are, I'll bet you that at the 2012 Grammys (his album was released too late to be eligible for next year's awards) he will not win Album of the Year (this will also be because the Grammys don't give top awards to Hip Hop/Rap albums or songs - Outcast's Spealerboxx/The Love Below is the only Hip Hop album who ever won the Grammy for Album of the Year, and no Rap/Hip Hop track has ever won Record of the Year or Song of the Year).


My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy has been WAY more critically raved then any of his other albums (or any other Hip-Hop album for that matter). Also, no, the reason why no Hip-Hop/Rap song has ever won the Record of the Year or Song of the Year award is because of the reception of Rap/Hip-Hop in general. Everybody would bitch if a Rap/Hip-Hop track won those awards (especially Bill O'Raily). Also, if the Grammies hate Kanye so much, how come he has 13 of them (and counting since it's SO obvious Kanye West will win a bunch of them in 2011 with this latest album and with the album he is doing with Jay-Z called "Watch The Throne"........unless Drake manages to make his second album as amazing as So Far Gone)?
