Yeah, I'm sure they wanted the Move to sell PS3 harware, but it's mostly just existing owners upgrading.  I'm happy about the success though.  Now that all three console makers are on board with motion I think we'll really start seeing innovative, polished product in the next year or so.  Hopefully no more shortcuts (like many devs have done with the Wii) will be the norm.  Just quality core and casual games.

Ha ha!  Yeah, I hope so.  The games for Wii that got some TLC turned out great with the added functions of motion and IR.  Metroid Prime 3, Red Steel 2, Boom Blox, Goldeneye, RE4, and Mario Galaxy 1&2, were all better because of the added functionality of motion and IR imo.  Not to mention Wii Sports Resort, which I think is a blast to play with friends.  I think 3rd person shooters could really benefit from IR as well.
