I don't understand what the big deal is?  It's still being called the second best simulator of the generation.

People shouldn't be attacking it, and others shouldn't be getting defensive about it.

Play it and enjoy it.

The title isn't about whether to call it the best simulator or not. It's the unreasonable high expectations in which not only reviewers, but the majority of the people who approached GT5 early went with.

I've seen some ludricous complains like why aren't all the tracks unlocked for arcade right from the get go, when no GT game before has done that, and these kind of complains are coming from supposed long time GT fans, who knew what they were up for.

You're right in that there shouldn't be neither offensive nor defensive stances against it, in the end it's just a game, yet it's annoying when you go and try to have a decent conversation about a game (I'm talking mostly about GTplanet), and you get bombarded with replies constantly complaining and calling you delusional, just because you enjoy the game.
