Well, considering the bar being raised by console war partisans, and the buzz that and other things generate, it is no wonder why.  Hey, to be more than a driving game, it would have to have a midnight launch and also get its own 7-Eleven Slurpie, or at least its own soda.  Hey, even God of War 3 had the beverage.  See, you offer the beverage before launch, and then people end up having it while waiting in line to get it midnight.  You know what GT5 got?  Razors.  Come on man, razors?
