Their technology writers are clueless. They love Microsoft a great deal - it's front page news when Windows gets patched or they do a tech demo of Surface or Kinect or something like that. They also leave out Nintendo launches even when the games are going to sell a lot more than CoD or Halo.
The rest of the BBC are some of the best journalists in the world. I'm not sure why the huge difference there.
