India do have a big population, but if only a big population = sales then India would be bigger than NA and the EU in gaming terms.
It's about the number of people in that country that can afford a console and games.
India is going to be a fresh hunting ground in the future (along with China) so Sony need to do a good job paving the way for these new but enormous markets.
