I don't think I have ever had an end to buying games in any given generation. Well not entirely true usually the last year a console is on the market their aren't many games to buy and I'm saving up for the next gen system. But to be honest as long as I have money or credit I just keep buying games.
Have I reached the point where I don't really need new games? Yes I have plenty of unfinished titles. But the new games look so amazing I'm stuck in a vortex. As for ditching MS and Sony and sticking with just Nintendo. I was a Nintendo only guy since the NES, I sure didn't spend nearly as much money and usually finished my games. Then Nintendo pretty much told Wii owners to buy 360's by saying they weren't competing anymore so I went out and bought a 360. I have bought more games this gen then any gen before.
With constant new hardware platforms coming out over the next few years (3DS, Wii2, Nex-Box) I don't think I'll have a period where I stop buying games like I used too!
