The thing is, I have played all systems. Nintendo does not cater for my needs as a gamer. Now I suggest that you play some PlayStation games and the experience and see if you like them or not. Play some real games, that make you scared as hell cause you don't know what is around the corner. Go play Silent Hill, MGS, or even FF game. Play game that reads like a book. I have played Games since the days of the days of TRS-80. I have owned an Atari, NES, SMS, SNES, Genesis, TG-16 Duo(CD-ROM combo), Playstation, N64. I was a game tester during the early PS2 era.
To me you sound like a kid. the games you have mentioned are all third party with Metal gear and Final fantasy(teh best one being on the SNES FFIII/VI) appearing on Nintendo consoles before Sega(Metal gear was originally on the MSX) and have absolutely nothing to do with Sony.
You say you know how Sony works well I will say you don't. As for graphics all the games you mentioned were made on the system with the least powerful graphics card and the weakest machine of there era.
Right now Sony is riding on the massive presence of the PS2 and the extended development times for games. In fact it may be more of blessings because as they drop the price even with a slow first year(the PS3 was supposed to wipe the floor again) games will still come out.
What you are going to see by the course of the next two years is very few exclusives for either Sony or MS and an extremely diverse library for the Wii. One that would cater to just aboutany gamer except fanboys.
