The thing is, I have played all systems. Nintendo does not cater for my needs as a gamer. Now I suggest that you play some PlayStation games and the experience and see if you like them or not. Play some real games, that make you scared as hell cause you don't know what is around the corner. Go play Silent Hill, MGS, or even FF game. Play game that reads like a book. Good grief! I hate to break it to you buddy but, Sony is the small fry this generation. They're the smallest and weakest of the three companies. Nintendo is bigger than they are now and more powerful. Nintendo is in the top five largest companies in Japan (#2 now I believe) which puts it far above Sony. Nintendo is also the only company making any financial gain off of video games so I would assume they probably have the better business sense too.
You also jade your own credibility in asserting Silent Hill or Final Fantasy are anymore real games than what are on the Wii. Both are franchizes in severe decline of quality, this just illustrates how lapsed (or perhaps naive) a gamer you are to think those are in anyway icons of quality gaming anymore. Metal Gear Solid might still have some punch, but if its anything like MGS2 (since its taking the series further in that direction), well you have my condolences. In the end you just reached for the biggest names you could think of on your console of choice and arbitraraly labeled them true gaming to fit your argument.
And where did I ever suggest DVD was superior to HD? Could you at least do us a favor and read the thread before jumping in to make your ignorant contribution? And even then, better or not, there's barely any demand for HD in comparison to DVD, especially when taking into context the parallels of which we were using them to illustrate the differences between the PS2 and PS3.
