i think you hit the nail on the head but others factors like the sport not being as big/popular as it was 10yrs ago could also play in, but still believe the series could of been good if they went back to the basics that made them what they once were
i enjoyed all the TH games up to wasteland, havent played the ones after like P8 and would never touch ride or shred
sad to see the series go but saw it coming with ride
why is it so hard for devs to just go back to basics? series like this, cool boarders and other snowboarding games, RE, and some others are falling victim to this "lets try something completely different" attitude
you see other games like the WWE and NFS even the COD franchise havent really strayed to far from what made there games great but they still can put up good meta and sales numbers
