How does that make it a PS3 exclusive rather than an exclusive PS3 reveal? To me, all that ad is saying, is something will be revealed exclusively at the event on the 12th, and not that there's a PS3 exclusive being revealed.

Doesn't get more obvious than that. It's worded very carefully - it doesn't say an exclusive reveal on PS3, it says PS3 exclusive. Two different things.

Actually, yes, yes it does get more obvious than that. The image says "Exclusive PS3 Reveal". The article says "something for PS3". In fact, nothing in that link definitely says that it's a game, they only speculate as to what it could be. Plus, if websites work the same as newspapers etc, then the sub-editor could've mis-interpreted the article when they came up with the heading.

I mean, we could sit and argue about it all day. I don't think Sony would have this announcement for just some DLC or service (or for an exclusive reveal of a multiplatform game showing the PS3 version).
We'll know in a few weeks though. If I'm proven wrong, I'll gladly come back here and acknowledege that.

Agreed, but don't expect some game that will appeal to everybody either, it might just be like Sly 4.
