I bought the 60 GB version in December of 2006. It ran until it refused to power on in early April. I called Sony and while I was waiting for a shipping box to come in I was mugged walking into my own apartment and regained consciousness to find that everything including my dead PS3 was taken. I recieved the box to ship the PS3 back on April 30th or the first monday after I was robbed on April 28th which was very frustrating(I would still have it had sony been a little quicker about sending the box).
I don't think I will be buying a PS3 again for a longtime until at least they manage to settle their SKUs and hopefully improve BC(I really liked the BC on the 60GB)
