MS wanted to partner with Sony initially so it's not like the idea is even without precedent. Personally, if Sony were will to accept a console they build and sell with MS OS and DirectX and a shared infrastructure I could definately see them getting together. They want to make money and their actual goals are fairly complimentary overall. Not that it would necessarily be overall good for the end consumer, but from a business perspective it makes a lot of sense. |
I love how your posts remind me that its about making capital. I am always looking at things from a customers perspective and believe competition builds greatness.
I believe they could make a great product together, but I think Nintendo's gaming goals are so different in many perspectives than the other two that they would make two radically different poles in gaming that can somewhat ignore each other. Why? Because a majority of the people each side is marketing to do not look for the same things in games.
That said, I do believe it would make a great powerhouse I just never like a market (or government) to be dominated by only two parties. Nothing gets done.
