It wouldn't affect any of the games I've been playing for over 2 decades.
I started on the original Atari 2600 and Colecovision back in the early to mid 80s. So that leaves very few titles out, eh?
Even Pitfall and Donkey Kong aren't out of the lot. But I wouldn't know anything about Pacman, Star Wars or Lord of the Rings (the last 2, only if you count the movies as some part of the game franchises).
