Bear in mind my next statement is five-hundred percent true, may i be stricken by lightning if i'm lying:

My boss asked me to print out hentai for work.

....yeah

I don't want to know why.

Actually, I do. Why?

The NGO i work with fights against sex trafficking by focusing on the demand side (i.e., since there are people willing to pay for sex, by the laws of economics, someone will supply them with people to have paid sex with, and they often get those people unwillingly from all over the world). I proposed to my boss that i do a paper on the cultural factors that drive demand for sex trafficking in Japan, and hentai was a large part of that (not just because hentai is porn, but because hentai glorifies rape and sexual slavery in ways that mainstream western porn does not). I included a brief synopsis of two hentai doujinshi in the paper itself, to give the reader an idea of what kinds of acts were glorified without actually going into lurid detail. My boss asked me to include illustrations of those two, so i picked two illustrations that didn't show any nudity but still conveyed the general portrayal

So then my boss said "okay, but i also want stuff that's more explicit. Just print me some and leave it on my desk." So i found two different hentai doujinshi (which this ties in with that other thread about stuff depicting fictitious minors being illegal to possess in the US, the two i printed for her didn't portray minors) and printed out about 60 pages of it.

She hasn't gotten back to me about it, as far as i know.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
