i'll never understand the consumer's response to console colors.

if someone makes their next gen console with an interchangable covers they'd probably have a multi-billion dollar industry to milk.

New console colors are probably just stealing from previous weeks sales as some people are waiting to get more interesting bundle, as well as getting people who were on the fence about buying it to jump on the deal.

Die hard game lovers who buy second Wii because it's Mario themed are probably small part of that 40k

 

edit: next week should have around 50/50 wii/ps3 split

Depends on what the Wii's drop off looks like. PS3 could get a moderate boost from the new Torne Bundle and Black Ops, which is looking to have a pretty good opening compared to MW2 in Japan.
