Completely agree with Galaxy. Although a great game, there is just no WAY that game is a 9.5 or whatever on gamerankings while NSMB Wii is a 8.9. That is just astounding to me that those scores are not flipped. Galaxy is fun through one play through and is only one player (not counting the lame 2nd player pointer thing), and NSMB has far more replay value. Once you get all the stars, there's pretty much no reason to pick it up again, while NSMB is always fun, especially with friends.
I find that most hyped up games are overrated these days. I think most people are just blinded by flashy graphics and cutscenes.
Uncharted? What on earth did people see in that game? I played it and I did NOT see the fun in the game. It was kinda fun for awhile but meh, just got repetetive, and far too many cutscenes, not to mention all that slow paced climbing. In fact the game made me sea sick from all the sporatic camera movements.
I have to say though I do love Gears, but that is mostly for the online multiplayer.
