The companies won't outright say what they had to change, but one of the guys at SE did let it slip that half of the content was cut out.

Source?  Because the widely publicized post-mordem pretty squarely laid the lack of content at the feet of HD asset creation (ie: it took too long and cost too much).  If there really was a version of FFXIII with double the content, it'd have taken around 8 years to make and probably pushed the budget north of $200m.

What was cut was the postgame DLC scenarios and it's not clear if that was due to 360 or PS3 (360 has stricter regulations on pricepoints and scheduling, but PS3 has higher fees for hosting and a fragmented approval/QA process), but the rumor is now that stuff's being reworked into a new "FFXIII-2" game or something anyway.

I do actually agree with you that there really is no proof whether they cut content due to the multiplat decision.

Do I think VS will go to 360?

Absolutely.  Wada would probably go as far as push it to be a 360 exclusive if 3/4 of the sales weren't going to be on the 360.  Wada has definitely tried to get his fans to go for the 360 over the PS3 this generation.

Will I be angry because of a fanboy issue?

No.  I think it's fine that more people get to play it.  However, I would prefer seeing SE be able to make the best game they can for one platform and not need to focus on trying to accomodate the limitations of having to juggle multiplatform development.

FinalEvangelion, i think it was Ismai Kamiyouko (yeah his name is spelt wrong), the art director who said that they had to cut some things from the game, like Team Nora's base, and a zoo near lightnings house.. personally i doubt this means much more gameplay and a less linear game. i dont believe there was a lot of content cut, just ideas they had that were never really implemented. (however i dont know, just my own thoughts).

Jarrod, imo the problem hasnt been just the HD, its been the new game engine and the 6 hours of cutscenes. imo they shouldve used the FF12 game engine and upscaled everything into HD 720p and released it at the beginning of the gen, because remember FF13 was originally meant to be on PS2 and it was already one year in development by then. so now they wasted 5 years on Crystal Tools, and now Luminous is in and Crystal tools is out. just a piss poor job all round imo.

imo FinalEvangelion, VS should go multiplat, FF13 might not even sell 6mil units, and its sold 1.5 mil on the 360, considering the 360 isnt popular in Japan, thats a substantial amount a units sold for the west. imo the series is venerunrable now after FF13 and 14, so imo a multiplatform release is the first thing on Wada's mind.
