To me Wii Sports was very shallow, basically demos, but that is what is was aimed to be. Having not played Wii Sports Resort the gameplay and progression felt much better to me in Sports Champions. I actually have incentive to go back and play, plus some of those gold matches are hard. Would be nice if it had online though.

Yes that is true actually, Wii Sports is actually a bunch of demos glued together, however Resort is a full game, it has lots of gameplay modes , unlike Wii Sports which is just a bunch of mini games
