Call of Duty:  Black Ops.

I don't even want this fucking game but the odds are pretty good that I'm gonna buy it today.  The reason?  I have about six friends that really want me to get it.  But they are all PS3 gamers.  If I get it, I want the 360 version!  So if I don't get it, I'll feel left out.  If I do get it, I won't get the version I want.  If I get the version I want (360) I won't be playing with the guys that made me feel like I had to get the game in the first place.

Damn it.  Why can't there just be one universal console?

If you get it on PS3, you can play against the coolest person on the site.

...darthdevidem01, but you can also play against me!

Took my kid to see Megamind (not too bad, not too good) at the theater today before I hit Gamestop.  While I was there, my best friend and fellow officer Jake (D11) text me that HE just bought a 360 and Black Ops!!  Made my buying decision that much easier!!

What's the problem with getting the PS3 version? There the exact same game and the way I see it is you got several other friends that has it on the PS3 so should that be an automatic PS3 version buy?

I don't get it, what's the problem here.

I just buy multi-plats on the 360.  Nothing wrong with the PS3 version or the PS3's online.  Just that on the 360 I build my Gamerscore (I never really took to trophies), it has the party chat, I have more online 360 friends (though I have more "real life" PS3 friends--but they aren't serious gamers), and I like the way 360 games make you feel like you're part of something bigger--like how I can play a game and there's usually some sort of leaderboard comparing me to my friends.  It's just been burned into my subconscience that the PS3 version is the "PS3 Version" and the 360 version is "the real version".   I can't shake the feeling.

I even bought the proven to be superior versions of Batman and FF13 for the PS3.......and I've still considered going back for the 360 versions.  :(
