What wrong with that? Triple screen 2 feet away is even cooler.

That's just sad.

In racing sims the side monitors adds to your peripheral vision and gives you a lot better sense of speed as objects flying pass the corners of your eyes. I would seriously recommend you never try it unless you got the money. Once you try it it's hard to go back to single screen.  Even a 50" screen at 3 feet away doesn't give you the same sense of speed as triple monitors does.
