Actually the people who did the FX to Battle: LA did this movie. And from my understanding the Battle: LA guys were thinking about bringing the Skyline boys to court to stop the movie. But apparently the movie is just different enough to keep them out of the courts.
The skyline people have actually bragged that they used the same equipment that was purchased for Battle: LA for Skyline and thats how they got such spectacular FX work on the cheap. I guess its good to be able to do your own movie with your own FX team doing the stuff at night time, after their day jobs are done. I mean what fanboy hasn't wanted control of a great FX team and a group of actors? I sure as shit would make a great fanboy movie of WW2! WW2 with either Nazi Zombies or Nazi Aliens is full of win!!!!!!!!!!!
Even if this movie sucks it looks like the FX work is pretty sweet. So I will be giving it a download, and I agree it couldn't be as bad as that Twilight BS. I like the premise and I am a sucker for most things sci-fi so sign me up.
