while i'm not surprised that people spend a lot of time doing non-gaming things on their 360 i disgree with your tone about that being a bad thing.
it's going in the same direction Sony started with their huge launch focus on blu-ray. the devices (ps360) do games, music, movies, internet, photo albums, and social activities. it's great! make the devices so much more worth while having in my house.
it's kind of the same reason i've ditched my DS in favor of my iphone. the iphone is just so much more useful on all fronts that i just can't be bothered taking my DS anywhere.
anyways, i like this direction. convergence is a good thing.
