Boxing on all the motion controls sucks IMHO.  I just don't think - though it seems temptingly otherwise - that the sport suits a motion control videogame equivilent.  Not unless the game actually makes you learn to box.  Just doesn't work for me otherwise.

I note Kinect boxing is getting panned too.  And while it's probably held more fondly, the boxing I've played on Wii is equally awful - but luckily delivered as part of a package.

I don't think it's an easy sport to create a fun approximation of, which is the core of the issue.  I also think it's simply too slender a concept to create a full title around.  Even at the lower price I just don't see the value.  Personally something like this or the Kinect boxing should be low cost, niche download titles IMHO.

I think boxing is pretty fun as a social game. That's where I think these developers need to focus on rather than realism. Playing wii boxing with non-gaming friends is hella fun despite not having great controls.

But I do agree that boxing makes for a better mini-game as I probably would never pay full price just for a few moments of fun.

Actually that's it.  The only time I have any fun with boxing with motion controls is social where I don't care it's inaccurate, etc. because it's fun for a short period and you pretend you're wacking the hell out of a buddy.  Taking Lights Out, I think there was a single title release of say Lights Out, The Shoot and maybe one other similar title the value would seem much better - the scores for the titles combined would probably be better too!

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
