Her boss was a douche, but she was too. She could have remained civil and right, leaving only her boss wrong, she chose instead to insult and be wrong too. IMVHO she should receive adequate compensation, because her boss started it, but there cannot be anymore mutual trust between her and her boss due to wrongs by both of them, so the firing shouldn't be nullified. Instead the very extreme alternative measure could be firing both her and her boss, they both behaved totally wrong.
