you know these are wrong... cause if you add.. then 0% own all 3 consoles =)

you make no sense.

22% only own a PS3
78% also own one or both of the other consoles
42% also own a Wii
36% also own a 360

42 plus 36=78 -> no margin for people who own both. (makes more sense now?)

42% of PS3 owners own a Wii (this does not exclude that they own a X360)
36% of PS3 owners own a X360 (this does not exclude that they own a Wii)
42 plus 36 = 78% of PS3 owners who own one or both of the other consoles

22 plus 78 = 100%.

They do not state how many own all 3, but we can conclude that it is below 36% of all PS3 owners own all 3 consoles. If we looked at Wii owners and X360 owners we might come to a slightly lower % who own all 3 systems.

It works out perfectly. I didn't copy NPD data for Wii owners or X360 owners though.

really not the type of argument i wanted to go into with you lol, i meant it as a fun remark :p

let's simplify... 3 people 1 owns a wii PS3, one owns a 360 PS3 and one only PS3.

then you have 2 that own a PS3 and a WII or a 360... but there is no margin to have someone that owns all 3.

to have the 78% owning one or both, you need more than 42% owning 360 and more than 36% owning Wiis.
