lol...It was pretty cool to see COD get chewed up by this card.

I will never understand why people even bring up power drain when discussing cards like this. Like this card is 500 bucks... anyone that is buying these cards obviously is using a high end gaming machine.

What are the odds those people care about their electricity bills or the need to buy a better power supply? They don't...they go for broke.

On topic...I am perfectly happy with my GTX470 SLI and it will most likely never have a chance to use this card, but it seems like the best single GPU you can buy by a long shot. Only thing that Nvidia needs to implement is the ability to connect 3 monitors on a single GPU. You still need SLI to do this, and this 1 card could erasily power 3 monitors for most games.

I'm running dual 5870 eye6 now and I can tell you that I care about power drain, very much.

Why?

You spent 600 plus bucks on your cards. Its like buying a bugatti Veyron and then watching the gas consumption...makes no sense to me.

Your cards still use a lot less electricity than a hairdryer and probably end up costing you 20 dollars more per month versus a lesser card if you run your PC 24/7.

I let my hair dry by itself, my computer is off when I don't need it, I turn off the lights when I'm not in a room, I drive a stick shift Toyota granted it wasn't cheap and is pretty much new since hybrid hasn't got to the point where the batteries can last long enough for me to really offset gas bills, I don't waste money that I can save no matter how much money I can make. I don't make inefficient decisions in life unless it's a girl I want to sleep with, and that's that.
