I find your reasons interesting since you could actually say the same thing about both games. They are both based off the same great gameplay mechanics and great set peices. And while the first did not have as many of the big hollywood type moments, it still had some, which are obviously ruined on each additional playthrough. Its not like either game changed depending on how you played through. Except maybe the second when they added stealth gameplay to the mix which would actually add to the replayability, but the amount that changed was small.
So I dont see how you can say the first is better than the second since they are basically the same game, the second just has more hollywood tyoe moments, especially since the moments dont take away from the story and gameplay at all.
